Okay, so we're in the multi-year process of developing an art park at the BF Nelson site on Marshall near Boom Island and Nicollet Island so I made a little video to show what art would look like on the site.
Set amongst a backdrop of the skyscrapers of Minneapolis, “Ding of the Hill” was filmed near the BF Nelson site. Chank’s new YouTube video shows that public art can be fun, spontaneous and inspiring without being intrusive, offensive or even permanent.
The development of the BF Nelson site as an art park will benefit the greater community through arts events, education and entertainment. The space can be used not only for sculptures, but also spontaneous art performances, temporary displays, environmental “earth art” pieces and educational events.
Chank Co is a proud supporter of the proposed art park and is pleased to bring you this fun little video in the hopes of spurring interest in and discussion of arts activities in this location.
