We have such great streets and the only time I meet tons of people is when I am working on the front of the house. I may be making this up but I seem to remember a flier some years back trying to drum up support. Does anyone know what happened?
You do see them, but rarely....
I wonder what my house would look like? Where is my sketchbook........(and my code/setback book)

After 3 1/2 years being happy NE neighbors, my husband and I have moved elsewhere in Minneapolis and we're looking to rent out our cute, 2BR/1BA house on Polk & St Anthony Pkwy.
The rent is $1150/mo + gas + elec. We've refinished the beautiful maple floors and put in new carpet in the bedrooms. Add in the 2-car garage and big, clean, dry basement (perfect for work area, artist's studio or tons of storage) and we think it's a gem.
We're even offering 1/2 OFF December rent if we can get a te…

I lost my job of 13 year this past July. I lost it partly to do with the economy, mostly due to poor business decisions by my employer and it's clients. Being a displaced worker after being gainfully employed for 23 years is a bit of a shock. Especially when my wife lost her job a month earlier (not to mention my daughter's mother loosing her's a couple of months before).
I have been lucky to have contract work with my former employer although that has slowed. The Minnesota Workforce Center has…

This is my first post and i would like to write down a few sentences regarding hostels. Hostels are a good method to travel the world on a low budget. From the cheapest to the more grand there is something to accommodate every liking and plan. The important thing regarding
backpacker hostels is that tons of college students flock to them because they are cheap and entertaining so there is constantly plenty of student travelers around to get-together with!…

A man I've never seen before knocked on my door tonight. I refused to open door, asked what he wanted. He said he wanted to talk. I said I wouldn't open the door; it's 11:30 at night. He said he was neighbor from across street and needed to borrow $8 to buy formula for his baby. He is not a neighbor and I know of no babies on the block. The guy was white, about 5'8", skinny, mustache, straight thin brown hair. Wearing t-shirt, jeans (I think) and white shoes.
